Some works of art come into this world very easily. The creation is fluid and natural. This particular piece, however, fought me for every inch. I worked this picture through several iterations over nine months until finally it was birthed, screaming, into the light. Of course, like every mother who has suffered a through a long and painful pregnancy and birth, I immediately fell in love with it. The work consists of found images and objects, acrylic, and ink. The central portion is on four individual canvas boards mounted to newsprint. All original art includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
